Richard Kosmacher, Business Development Manager

Richard Kosmacher, I-GO’s Business Development Manager, started at I-GO back in the spring of 2004 when I-GO had less than a dozen cars and operated in just a few neighborhoods. Richard’s original focus was to find locations and build interest for I-GO in neighborhoods all over Chicago. His focus has recently shifted to growing I-GO in the suburbs. Richard has secured partnerships with businesses and institutions in Chicago including Whole Foods, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Merchandise Mart, the Adler Planetarium, and the Chicago Park District. Richard has also been one of the key architects of I-GO’s marketing strategy, a strategy that builds on I-GO’s unique position as Chicago’s only local, non-profit, mission-driven car sharing program. Before working at I-GO, Richard co-owned a small chain of gift stores that operated in several different Midwestern cities, including a store and tea room on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Richard received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Along with his wife and two sons, Richard lives in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago.
