CTA & I-GO smart card
In January 2009, I-GO partnered with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to create the nation’s first joint smart card between a public transit agency and car-sharing service. The Chicago Card Plus/I-GO Card enables its dual-account holders to access CTA trains and buses, Pace buses, and every car in I-GO’s metro-wide fleet—most of which are near or adjacent to CTA routes or rail stations.
The program boldly illustrates I-GO’s unique visionary aim in the car-sharing industry: to lead the way toward an integrated, multi-modal network of sustainable transportation that reduces car ownership, urban congestion, and greenhouse gases while creating an affordable, convenient, all-in-one option for commuters.
The CCP/I-GO Card, generously supported by The Boeing Company, makes it easier than ever to transition from one mode of travel to the other. Combined with I-GO’s mobile reservations site for smart phones, it makes getting around without owning a car a snap.

The CCP/I-GO Card. One card, three ways to GO!
UPDATE: The Chicago Card Plus/I-GO Card — initially a pilot program available only to more recent I-GO members — was made available to all I-GO members on April 1, 2010. Members who joined I-GO prior to this program’s launch in January 2009 can switch to the CTA/I-GO card by following these simple steps. (Please note that there will be a one-time $15 charge on your monthly invoice to cover the cost of your new card.)
