I-GO members share the season

Friday, December 17th, 2010

I-GO’s annual holiday party is our way of saying thanks to our members for supporting Chicago’s only non-profit car sharing organization. They’re the folks who keep us motivated in our mission to curb car ownership and greenhouse gas emissions while providing affordable transportation to a diverse array of communities across the Chicago area.

This year’s party took place December 2 on the 15th floor of the Merchandise Mart, where guests were also given free passes to the Mart’s One of a Kind Show artisan craft bazaar. Party goers enjoyed savory food and drinks, participated in a silent auction and raffle, got the lowdown on I-GO’s plans for 2011, applauded I-GO’s 2010 GreenWorks Awards from the City of Chicago, and a few brave souls even capped off the night with a Michael Jackson-inspired dance-off.

Did we mention the party was free to all?

Local videographer Julie Johnson captured it on video:

There are too many sponsors to thank them all, but we’d like to give a special shout-out to the following for their generous contributions: Merchandise Mart Properties, AEL + Associates Catering, The Artisan Cellar, Sierra Nevada, Apple Rush, Raw Creations, Eli’s Cheesecake, Pop Chips, Specialty Pasta, Christina Frances Photography, Joffrey Ballet, and Hotel Allegro.

Chicago photographer Christina Frances shot the photos we’ve posted as a set on Flickr. You can find her on the web at: christinafrancesphotography.com/

Here’s are the pix. Enjoy!
