Volunteer with I-GO!

I-GO Car Sharing participates in and supports community-based and eco-conscious events and programs in Chicago, Evanston and Oak Park.

Volunteers help us spread the word about I-GO and the many benefits of car sharing at events ranging from summer festivals to membership drives. Please visit our Events page for an up-to-date list of events for which we need help.

We also encourage you to join us on Facebook at I-GO Car Sharing, where we regularly update our events calendar and post other interesting info about I-GO as well.

You’ll benefit yourself: I-GO members earn one hour in driving credit for every hour they volunteer.

Corporate Sales Manager
I-GO Car Sharing is looking for an intelligent, energetic, outgoing, and flexible person to help us grow business membership. We need someone who is enthusiastic about car sharing and our mission of creating a more sustainable transportation system. This position has a base salary and full benefits plus a commission based on meeting growth targets.

General Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop new I-GO business, civic, and municipal accounts to increase membership and the number of drivers.
  • Create strategies to increase membership/revenue within existing accounts.
  • Develop relationships with existing account managers and businesses to strengthen current market share.
  • Identify and develop cross selling opportunities with Chi Town Rewards members and other programs to grow all accounts.
  • Coordinate and represent I-GO at events and activities designed to enhance and build I-GO presence in the market place.
  • Support a culture of open mindedness and innovation within the organization.
  • Effectively execute all administrative responsibilities.
  • Coordinate efforts with marketing, communications, fleet, and member services staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors level degree (marketing sales background preferred)
  • Five or more years of sales experience.
  • Possess demonstrated and proven revenue growth experience within a sales territory over an extended period of time.
  • Excellent business/financial acumen.
  •  Exceptional communication and networking skills.
  • Strong technical/computer skills
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.
